NYCT Mother Clara Hale Bus Depot Design-Build
Developed the 3-D renderings for the $262 million Mother Clara Hale Bus Depot in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, which was delivered through a design-build contract with New York City Transit (NYCT). The three-story, 390,000-sf building accommodates 150 buses and includes a full maintenance shop, three fueling lanes and bus washing facilities on the ground floor with bus storage and administration offices on the second and third floors. The building achieved LEED® certification to the Gold level through various sustainable features that include low-emission boilers, solar-air heating, heat-recovery units, natural lighting, rainwater recycling, and a green roof. Coordinated closely with the client to develop optimum views for the renderings.
PANYNJ George Washington Bridge Bus Station Redevelopment
Prepared 2-D and 3-D renderings for the $152 million redevelopment of the George Washington Bridge Bus Station in Manhattan. This high-profile public-private partnership between the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), which owns and operates the bus terminal and a private developer, involved consolidating bus operations at the historic rooftop truss level within a new concourse and development of a 120,000-sf retail space in the former bus storage wing that provides a neighborhood amenity and catalyst for economic development. Conducted an existing condition study to analyze key elements of the station and develop 3-D renderings of the Broadway façades. Participated in site programming and development of concept designs for alternative project schemes.
